ABOUT

Hello. My name is Kyler Hembree, and I am the current art teacher at Union Elementary School in Paulding County, Georgia. I am a local artist, former business owner, and a native of Villa Rica. My husband Zeke and I have two incredible girls, Avery and Willow. We currently live in Dallas, Georgia.

In 2011, I received my bachelor's in fine arts in Art Education from the University of West Georgia. While at UWG I had artwork published, won multiple artist awards and also designed and was selected for AJC Peachtree Road Race Volunteer Shirt.  Following graduation, I taught visual art at South Paulding Middle School for two years, and in 2012 I opened my own art studio, Local Color. The art studio included summer classes, paint lessons, birthday parties and more. In 2014, I decided to open a retail boutique, GrayeStyle, alongside my studio where I sold unique and edgy women's clothing, shoes and accessories.  I decided to close my businesses in order to return to my passion of teaching art to some fabulous kiddos.

After 5 years, I missed teaching more than anything, and I couldn't wait to be back in the classroom with creative children!  Parents and students please click any of the links below to find out more about myself or visit our school pages to see what we are working on in the classroom. Fellow art teachers, sharing art is our passion! Please feel free to borrow lessons, images, and links. Please contact me with questions or concerns by email at kghembree@paulding.k12.ga.us.
